Gettsyburg, Penn.- President Abraham Lincoln gave a very monumental speech yesterday at the Gettsyburg battlefield which is field where 7500 soldiers have given there lives to the awful battle between the Union and Confederate armies, which is now the place that is dedicated as, the Soldiers National Cemetery.
As President Lincoln started out with “Four score and seven years ago” there was a hush of literal silence as everyone was glued to the President and every word that came from his mouth. As he reminded us of what our country is founded on; liberty and dedicated that everybody be are created equal. He asked if we can endure this as we now are in the middle of a major battle between our own. As he spoke about the dedication of the battlefield for those dead and living brave soldiers who gave of have given their lives. He said that a dedicate or consecrate the field as the dead and the living that gave their lives have done that. But we can be dedicated to the reason why these men have fallen and give back our nation this is of the people, by the people, and for the people. Like President Lincoln said: “ The world will little note, of long remember what we say here, but we can never forget what they did here.”
